Since our inception in 2005, Spoken Worldwide has been committed to the work of Great Commission among oral peoples by focusing on making disciples who lead transformed lives and become agents of holistic transformation in the communities where they live. Our newly consolidated Oral Discipleship department works in direct partnership with our Oral Bible Translation teams and our local implementing partners to ensure every translated oral Scripture is effectively utilized in ongoing, reproductive leader development and disciple-making work among the local people.
Spoken’s Oral Discipleship program brings to bear 20 years of field focused, cutting-edge orality work among unreached peoples focused on evangelism, local leader development, disciple-making, and holistic change.
In 2024, we Spoken determined to align its OBT and SE programs in order to ensure that there would be an effective and sustainable disciple-making strategy in place in every language and people where scriptures were being orally translated.
This realignment of our field work brings together the previous Pastor Development and Coaching programs while incorporating our historic evangelism, disciple-making, and transformational ministry work.
Because innovation remains at the core of who we are as a ministry, we have also taken this opportunity to hone and make more explicit our end goal of seeing indigenous movements reproducing disciples everywhere we engage. Working in and through local church partners, our aim as a catalytic ministry remains as it always has been; to see God glorified and lives changed by the power of the Holy Spirit among all oral peoples everywhere.
