We often take it for granted, but prayer is powerful and always accessible. Deciding to stop and pray for ourselves or others immediately reminds us that there is more going on than what we see. It is the simplest and most powerful way for us to recognize that God is real and at work in the world.
Prayer is not passive. It is the active engagement of our hearts and minds with the God who hears, who moves, and who works through the intercession of His people. When we pray for oral Bible translation projects, for indigenous leaders being trained in orality-based discipleship, and for unreached communities hearing the gospel for the first time, we are participating in the very work God is doing around the world.
At Spoken Worldwide, we believe that every oral Bible translation project, every audio Scripture recording, and every trained discipleship leader exists because someone prayed. The spread of God’s Word among oral learners is not accomplished by strategy alone—it is sustained by prayer.
