Spoken is a ministry dedicated to making the Bible accessible to people who can’t, don’t, or won’t read. These oral learners often live in remote, hard to reach areas of the world, and are often overlooked by traditional missions. Spoken Worldwide strives to break down barriers to Scripture access, ensuring that ALL may hear and understand the Word of God. We accomplish this through three initiatives: Oral Bible Translation, Pastor Development, and Orality Coaching.
Spoken Worldwide’s vision is a journey towards creating lasting impact in the local communities we serve and minister. We believe that true transformation requires sustainability; without it, our efforts would fade, and the progress in sharing the Word with non-believers would come to a halt. Our Pastor Development Program (PDP) is a vital initiative at the heart of our sustainability goals, equipping indigenous pastors and lay leaders with the skills and resources they need to continue spreading the gospel long after our initial work is complete.
In our efforts to fulfill the Great Commission with a sense of urgency, the Spoken Worldwide Orality Coaching Program (OCP) establishes purposeful partnerships with both US-based and indigenous churches. Spoken also partners with organizations that desire to minister to the two-thirds of the world that does not read. Our role is that of a supporting partner, where we provide Orality training and the mentoring needed for these local partners to serve as the primary contact with their communities, while employing the learned practice of Orality to share the gospel with oral learners.
